Northwoods Outdoor Learning Academy

The Northwoods Outdoor Learning Academy (NOLA) exists for the purpose of partnering with parents to assist with the educational needs of their children through quality, experiences in the outdoors. Our goal is to bring their children’s education to life and encourage them to never stop learning and exploring our world.

The Northwoods Outdoor Learning Academy is a program of the Northern Lakes Impact Center, an educational non-profit organization located in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.

NOLA runs September through May. We meet one Tuesday a month for ages 7-12.

Our Classes

Our educational classes have been developed through a combined 50 years of experience of our founders and director. These classes have been adapted to most age levels and cover the state standards of education for Wisconsin. Some of these classes include:

Although our main purpose of this program is to help bring the classroom to life, we also include other activities throughout the program to give your student opportunities you may not have at home such as:

Archery
Riflery
Rock climbing
Zip Line
Mini Golf
Canoeing
