Outdoor Environmental Education
Welcome
to Outdoor Environmental Education at the Northern Lakes Impact Center!
The
leadership of the Impact Center has been designing quality Outdoor
Environmental Education classes, historical reenactments and
teambuilding programs for over 20 years. Our curriculum is currently in
use at camps, schools and other environmental centers around the
country. Come see what we can do for your school!
The
Impact Center’s comprehensive curriculum focuses on educational concepts
geared to meet the Michigan Goals and Objectives for Science Education,
the Minnesota Academic Standards and the Wisconsin Model Academic
Standards. All classes are written to provide hands-on, interactive
lessons that promote learning and retention among students in a safe,
fun “camp” environment In addition to environmental studies,
schools can choose to include social outcomes in their curriculum. With
classes like Climbing Tower, High Ropes, High Teams, Initiatives, Low
Ropes and many more, schools can design programs that will teach
students conflict-resolution skills, enhance self-esteem and develop
leadership potential.

The Northern Lakes Impact Center does not own or operate its own camps.
Instead, we partner with camps that have the facilities we require to
enable us to provide programs that meet the needs of the schools and
groups we work with. Each
camp we work with is personally visited and assessed based on rigorous
criteria to guarantee that we can provide a safe, comfortable,
educational experience for students, chaperones and teachers.
Currently, the Northern Lakes Impact Center offers programs from three
facilities in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Please click on the camp or
conference center nearest to you to find out about their facilities,
programs and pricing.
