Community Connections

This exciting program is centered on local area leaders and building connectivity between companies and non-profit organizations within the communities we serve.  Community Connections begins with an introductory teambuilding session at one of our local host facilities and then five “classes” - one per month - at local hospitals, corporations, etc, to allow participants to learn about the services and support organizations within their area.  Each class will include lunch and a guest speaker who will address current issues facing Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Leadership Institute

Non-profit organizations struggle to find properly trained, talented leadership to help them to advance their mission.  Even when the right person is in a leadership position, he or she may not have all of the skills necessary to successfully develop the organization.  That's where the Northern Lakes Impact Center Leadership Institute can help!

The Leadership Institute is a five-day, four-night program based out of one of our partner facilities.  Participants will take "classes" that offer insight into different areas of management, development and overall growth.  From activities like vision-casting, organizational assessment, fundraising both within and without, leaving a legacy, training volunteers and much more, our clients will walk away with ideas which will benefit their organization in both the short and long term and the tools to implement the changes.

Strategic Planning / Vision Casting

How can you know when you get there when you don't know where you are going?  If your organization is struggling to figure out what they are trying to accomplish, the Northern Lakes Impact Center has the program for you!

As part of our outreach, we have consistently seen businesses and other organizations struggle with developing a specific, concise, measurable and communicable goal.  With no effective goals in sight, companies cannot know if they are moving in the right direction and any planning for the future becomes simply guesswork.  The Northern Lakes Impact Center Strategic Planning / Vision Casting programs take organizational leaders and helps them establish goals that provide a clear destination, can be articulated to followers and that can be the basis for long-term strategic planning. 

A typical Strategic Planning or Vision Casting program takes a minimum of one day and organizations should plan accordingly.  If you would like to plan a longer "Leadership Retreat", our partner facilities offer comfortable sleeping quarters, meal service and meeting space, allowing you to focus on developing your organization.  A follow-up assessment will be scheduled by our staff to ensure that your program was successful and to help amend your strategy, if needed.
